Mediation
Building Bridges: It's never too late to mediate |
Mediation has become the Alternative Dispute Resolution solution of choice for many disputes. It is encouraged by the Courts, who themselves ran Mediation Schemes, which have now been taken over by the National Mediation Helpline. It saves the expense and risk of litigation.
An Accredited Mediator holds the key to helping the parties to break the impasse in which they find themselves and to reach a resolution of their dispute. Because it is the parties’ agreement, it can include innovative terms which the Court or an Arbitrator could not award.
Mediation is:
- A powerful tool to break the impasse in which the parties find themselves and to bring them to an agreement
- Successful (Over 80% of Mediations result in agreement, either on the day or later, assisted by the Mediation process)
- Confidential and Without Prejudice. If no agreement is reached, nothing said in the Mediation can be revealed in Court Proceedings
- Quick (Most Mediations take no more than one or two days and can often be arranged at short notice)
- Relatively inexpensive.
Trained and accredited by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, one of the most rigorous programmes for Mediator accreditation, David offers to act as Mediator in most types of civil and commercial disputes.
