Admitted as a Solicitor in 1972 and as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2004, David brings to his Dispute Resolution Practice many years experience of legal practice.

With a strong background in both contentious and non-contentious legal work, he ensures that he has a full grasp of the papers and approaches parties and their disputes with courtesy and understanding.

It has been said that “his particular strength is achieving good results from difficult situations.” He regards careful preparation as a necessary prerequisite to a good result.

As a negotiator, he gives little away and his Clients benefit from his expertise and practical reasoning to give them the best result. As a Mediator, he uses that expertise to bring parties to an acceptable compromise. He acts as Arbitrator in cases in which parties cannot agree a settlement of their dispute.

He acts in accordance with the Codes of Conduct of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Association of Midlands Mediators and the Law Society, which incorporate the European Code of Conduct for Mediators.
